Winter 2025/26 – week 21

Congratulations to Chapmans Arms who completed the league and cup double, following a 21-5 win over Lupines, leapfrogging Out of Towners on the final night of the season. Out of Towners played out a draw with Grand Central, meaning they finished in 2nd place. After 18 games, only 4 points separated the top two teams. Foreign Legion finished in 3rd place, 6 points ahead of Grand Central in 4th. Wolves Z lost to Town Central 19-7 but finish above their opponents. Lupines finished the season in last place.

David Moule moved back above Kev Parsons in the Most Legs competition, winning by 3 legs with an 80% leg win rate and winning 89% of his matches, played 18, won 16. Parsons in 2nd won 77% of his legs, but 100% of his matches, meaning he finished the season unbeaten. Parsons was a clear winner in the Most Tons competition, hitting 197 over the season, 39 more than his nearest rival, Moule. Parsons averaged 2.19 tons per leg, 10.94 tons per game. In the Most 180s challenge, Andy Jurd hit another 3 this evening, finishing the season in top spot with 19. Moule was a close 2nd, only 4 maximums behind. Jurd averaged 1.12 maximums per game. The highest checkout was shared, both Alan White and Dexter Batten taking out 170. In the last week Mike Berntsen checked out 148 and Paul Barnard 130. Fastest Leg was also shared, John Cost and Moule both achieving a 12-darter. Across the season there were 2,940 tons recorded and 125 maximums.

The Summer AGM for the coming season will take place in the Hayward Suite on 26th May. Please arrive in time to start at 8pm. The presentation for the Winter season will follow the AGM.
