This week brought wins for Soton Peepers A, who moved top of the league, and Grand Central. Out of Towner and Foreign Legion had to postpone their match; they had planned to play it the previous week, but a road closure on the A34 prevented that.
Soton Peepers A 18 Town Central 8
Soton Peepers led from the start, taking both pairs. Although they dropped the opening singles leg, they recovered to win the rest of the games.
- Alan White, Rob Hayes, David Moule and Ryan Sillence all recorded wins.
The result puts Soton 16 points clear at the top of the league.
Grand Central 20 Wolversdene Angels 6
Grand Central also won both pairs 2-1 before going on to take all the singles games.
- Dale Thompson, Mike Berntsen, Richard Smith and John Cost all picked up wins.
The victory moves Grand Central into third, seven points behind second and 16 ahead of fourth.
Individual performances
- Ryan Sillence capped an excellent week with a 160 checkout, a 13-dart leg and two maximums.
- David Moule also threw two 13-dart legs this week.
- Chris Blundy marked his return to the league with 10 tons.
Leaderboards
- The 11-dart leg remains the quickest of the season, with three players sharing the next-best mark of 13 darts.
- David Moule extended his lead in Most Legs Won to 35, with Andy Jurd and Kev Parsons six behind but with a game in hand.
- Kev Parsons’ lead in Most Tons was reduced after he did not play, with David Moule now seven behind on 62 tons.
- There was little movement in the Most 180s table, although David Moule added another maximum and is now just two behind leader Andy Jurd. Steve Ballard remains second.
- Rob Hayes’ 164 checkout still leads the chasing pack, though the gap is narrowing. Ryan Sillence’s 160 puts him joint second.
