It was like watching the UK in the Eurovision, unfortunately Daves Railroaders first match of the season ended up with “nil points”, Out of Towners taking maximum and moving to top of the table by 7 points. Andys Boys also had a big result against Queen Charlotte, winning 24-2, moving them into 2nd place. The Arms are now in 3rd following their win over Town Central 15-11, and Grand Central beat Wolves Z by the same score.
3 players sit top of the Most Legs Won, all yet to drop a leg, that includes Andy Jurd, Paul Walker and David Moule. Andy Harvey hit another 11 tons this week, keeping him top of the Most Tons table, now on 22, with Colin Denyer and Garf Hodgkiss both in 2nd on 19. Tom Smart also hit 11 tons this week and there was 10 tons each for Sam Ellis and Denyer. Walker added another 180 to his total, now on 6, but Ellis added a brace, reducing the gap to 3 and there was also 2 maximums from Wayne Collins. We had several ton plus checkouts, the highest coming from Alan Turnell with 150. Both Mike Berntsen and Jurd checked out 130, John Cost 125 and Ellis 120. Moule had the quickest leg of the week with a 13 darter.
