Summer 2025 – week 4

The biggest win this week was a 25-1 annihilation of Lupines by Foreign Legion. This moves the Legion to joint 2nd place. Top side Out of Towners come through a close match with Arms A, winning 15-11. It went down to the last match of the evening, David Moule needing a white wash of Steve Ballard to draw his side level, however, Ballard secured 2 legs and a win for his team. Grand Central closed the gap on Town Central to 3 points (battle for 4th) with a 20-6 win over Queen Charlotte. Town Central had a bye this week.

Andy Harvey moves top of the Most Legs Won competition, now on 15, with 3 other players only 1 leg behind on 14, including last season’s winner, Andy Jurd, along with Kev Parsons and Rob Doran. Harvey is also now 20 Tons clear of second place Jurd, in the Most Tons challenge. Harvey hit an additional 10 this with, but it was Kev Parsons with the most with 12. Graham Howard also hit 10 in his game. Having only played once so far this season, Chas Barstow remains top of the 180 competition. Surprisingly, only 1 player hit a maximum this week and that was Rob Hayes. We did have 2 ton plus checkouts, both hitting 116, and they were Kev Parsons and Richard Smith. Although Parsons also had the quickest leg of the week with a 14 darter.

The committee have completed the draw for the 1st round of the team knockout, to be played on Tuesday 1st July:

Lupines v Out of Towners
