On Tuesday it was a top of the table clash between Out of Towners and Hotdogs. Previous encounters had gone the way of the Hotdogs, but this time it was OOT that were triumphal, winning 19-7. This extended their lead at the top to 30 points, just out of reach of Hotdogs game in hand. This was Luke Getty’s first singles league defeat of the season, with Chas Barstow taking the win 3-2. 3rd placed Peaky Blinders took on 4th placed Wolves A, with Peaky Blinders winning 15-11. This gave Grand Central the chance to leapfrog Wolves A into 4th, following their 25-1 win over Foreign Legion.
Luke and Chas still share top spot in the 180’s table, both hitting another 2 this week. Mike Berntsen joins Richard Smith and Mark Thorne in fastest leg after hitting a 12 darter. Luke managed another 13-dart leg. Mike also had the highest outshot this week, taking out 125 (25, 60, 40). Sam Ellis (118), Jamie Kelling (107), Andy Mitchell (104) and Dale Thompson (102). No one was even close to challenging Simon Coxhead’s 167. In the battle for most tons, Andy Mitchell managed an incredible 15 this week, with Kev Parsons and Mike Berntsen hitting 12 and current leader Steve Ballard another 11. Rob Hayes was the only other player to get into double figures with 10.
