Winter 2023/24 – week 3

A close game between Arms A and Andys Boys went down to the very last match, Andys Boys winning 14-12. They now sit joint top alongside the Out of Towners, who had a convincing win over Town Central 17-9. Foreign Legion continued their impressive start to the season with their 2nd win on the bounce, this time 14-12 against Five Guys. New side Daves Railroaders were doing some late night maintenance on the tracks at Grand Central, coming from 13-8 down to grab a deserved draw. How I wish I hadn’t said it gets easier in a previous write up!!

Rob Doran sits top of the legs won having drop on 2 so far, winning 87% of the legs he’s played. 16 players are all within 5 legs, so expect a lot more changes over the next few weeks. Kev Parsons now sits top of the most tons with 28. Darren Large added 13 to his total this week and Stuart Giddings wasn’t far behind with 12. Arron Monk hit 2 maximums, there were only 6 hit across the league, and a 14 darter. Darren Large had a 15 dart leg, those two were the only ones recorded. And a 105 from Andy Harvey didn’t trouble Tom Smart at the top.

Next week is the blind pairs at the Wolversdene. Please can we get as much support as possible for this competition. You need to arrive by 7:45pm to be included in the draw, but if you do get stuck in traffic, call me on 07921 059770 or Andy on 07340 176133 to let us know so we can still include you.
