Out of Towners have reduced the gap to 19 points following their 22 – 4 win against Town Central. Arms A beat Wolves Z 17 – 9 and Grand Central won 16 – 10 against Daves Railroaders.
The only player to reach double figures in the Ton’s competitions was Stuart Giddings with 12, despite losing 5 nil in his match against David Moule. For the season, Andy Harvey is 3 tons ahead of Sam Ellis but with a game in hand, Harvey looks set to win this challenge. In the Most Legs Won comp, Ellis sits on top with 43, a lead of 6 over Harvey, Steve Ballard and Moule, all on 37. With two of the three having a game in hand, could they make up the difference, especially going head to head with his chasers, this could make for a close finish to the season. Ballard hit two 180’s this week, moving him to 7 alongside Rob Doran and only 3 behind current leader Ellis. Sean Crysell leads the Highest Outshot on 136, which is surprising lower than most seasons, but can anyone take advantage in the finals weeks. Ballard took out 127 this week and Ellis 117. Doran’s 12 darter still leads the Fastest Leg competition.
Next week is the re-arranged match for the top two sides, Arms A v Out of Towners. Arms A need to keep this close, if not win, as this is their last fixture of the season and Out of Towners play bottom of the league Daves Railroaders in their final game the week after. It looks like another close end to a season which is great to see.
