Summer 2025 – week 9

With Arms A not competing this week, Out of Towners extended their lead at the top of the standings by 21 points after defeating Queen Charlotte 21-5. Grand Central retained third place with a 14-12 victory over Foreign Legion, although Foreign Legion hold a game in hand and trail by only six points. Town Central narrowed the gap with the leading teams thanks to a 21-5 win over Lupines.

Kev Parsons now leads the Most Legs Won competition with 30 legs and an impressive leg win rate of 86%. Notably, Parsons has yet to lose a match, a record matched only by David Moule, with both players posting seven wins without defeat. However, six competitors remain within four legs of Parsons, indicating a closely contested competition at this stage.

This week featured unusual results in the Tons competition, as no player reached double figures. Andy Harvey currently holds a 12-point lead at the top, but Parsons maintains a game in hand. Andy Jurd registered another maximum to bring his season total to seven, closely followed by Wayne Morgan with five. Colin Denyer achieved a 154 checkout, though Richard Smith remains ahead with 156. Rob Doran posted a notable 130 checkout, and Ian Cairns was the only player to record a Fastest Leg, completing a 14-darter.

Next week is the Team Knockout Semi-finals:
