Grand Central delivered an outstanding performance this week, securing a 22-4 victory over Lupines. Out of Towners prevailed against Wolves Z with a score of 15-11, while Chapmans Arms edged out Foreign Legion in a closely contested match, finishing 14-12.
Wolves Z and Out of Towners played a double header at 7pm to make up for the December 16th cancellation. Out of Towners won the rescheduled match 16-10, moving them to the top of the league by 16 points. Chapmans Arms are second, ahead of Foreign Legion by 4 points, with Grand Central trailing by 11 but holding a game in hand. This season remains tightly contested.
Dave Moule has reclaimed the top spot in the Most Legs Won competition, narrowly leading Kev Parsons by just one leg. There’s now a growing gap separating Andy Jurd, who trails by 6 legs, and Sam Ellis, who is 10 legs behind Dave. In the Most Tons category, Dave Moule closed his deficit by hitting 12 tons this week, leaving him 15 short of the leader but with a game in hand. Ian Cairns also contributed with 10 tons. For Most 180s, Dale Thompson boosted his count by four, reaching seven for the season and moving within two of the current leader. Regarding ton-plus checkouts: Kev Parsons scored 107, Billy Brett had 106, and Graham Howard posted 101, while Alan Spike’s 170 still stands unbeaten.
