What a competition, what a semi-final line up. The quality of darts was certainly up there and it was Chas Barstow who reclaimed the title from Jamie Kelling.
This has to be one of the best finals I’d personally seem in the Tuesday Night Darts League. It had everything. We kicked off with the first semi-final, where Luke Getty took a 2 nil lead against Jamie Kelling and didn’t look to be slowing down. However, missed doubles gave Jamie Kelling the opportunity to get back in the match and he went on to win 4-2. The second semi-final also finished 4-2 to Chas Barstow but Arron Monk certainly made him work for it.
In the Final, Chas Barstow went into a 2 nil lead against Jamie Kelling following two 14 dart legs. As he had in the previous round, Jamie pulled it back level with 15 and 17 dart legs. Chas managed to take the fifth leg with Jamie sat on tops. The final leg saw Jamie go 140, 180, 165 and missed double 8 for a 10 darter, in fact, Jamie failed to hit the double on his visit to the board. Having started the leg first, Chas threw 97, 121, 180 and 71, taking double 16 out in 2 darts for his 3rd 14 dart leg of the game, winning the match 4-2 overall. Chas achieved an average of 96.54 and Jamie 89.13. Had it not been for the 2nd leg, when Chas checked out in 14 with Jamie left on 286, Jamie would have also had a 90+ average.
