Out of Towners continued their pursuit of Arms A with a 19-7 win over Grand Central moving them within 2 points of the top spot. Arms A narrowly defeated Foreign Legion 14-12. Wolves Z came from behind to beat Town Central 14-12, with Dan Archer winning 4-1 in the last game to win them the match. Admittedly, Archer didn’t win the match by himself, all 4 players won their singles, which helped them claw back from being 5-1 down after the pairs. This moved Wolves Z from 5th into 3rd place in the league. 6 points now separate positions 3rd through to 6th.
From an individuals point of view, only Rob Doran managed double figures in the Tons competition, having hit 11 in his match. Andy Harvey still remains top on 82 for the season with Sam Ellis 9 behind on 73. Ellis remains top of the Legs Won table on 31, closely followed by Steve Ballard, Andy Jurd and Harvey, all on 29. There were only 6 maximums this week, including 1 from Ellis who leads on 9 for the season, with Doran on 7. There were a couple of ton plus checkouts recorded, the highest from David Moule with 122 and his team mate, Rob Hayes with 111. Doran remains top of the Fastest Leg competition with 12, this week saw 14 dart legs from Ellis and John Cost, plus a 15 dart leg from Wayne Collins.
And we have confirmed the Final of the Team Knockout on 27th August will be held at the Wolversdene Club, in the main bar.
