It was another cracking season that went down to the wire, with everything to play for up to the final week of the season.
With Arms A having a bye, Out of Towners required 18 points to win the league and they did exactly that, dropping only 1 leg all match against Dave’s Railroaders, winning 25-1. Wolves Z finished with a win against Grand Central, 15-11, but it wasn’t enough to swap places in the league, but enough to keep them on 4th place. Likewise, Town Central hoping to catch Wolves Z, could only equal the same score line against, beating Foreign Legion 15-11.
I won’t talk much about final individual placings in all competitions, but highlight more the standout players this week. If you want to see who won what, please visit https://andoverdarts.uk/.
We first start off with Stuart Giddings who added 14 tons to his tally, the highest this week. Andy Harvey hit 12 tons and his team mates Rob Doran had 11 and Steve Ballard and Andy Jurd 10 each. With an impressive 3 maximums, Sean Crysell also took out 160 this week. Tom Smart finished 101 and Mike Bertnsen 100. There was also a 15 dart leg from Smart but the quickest leg of the week was Colin Denyer with 13.
