Summer 2025 – Singles

At the midpoint of the Summer season, the Les Brant Singles event took place. The random draw resulted in the top four players in terms of most legs won being positioned such that they would only meet if they all reached the semi-finals, which nearly occurred.

Twenty players participated at the Hayward Suite in the Wolversdene club. Four first-round matches were played, with twelve players receiving byes to the second round. David Moule entered the competition seeking his third consecutive win, having previously won the Winter 2024/25 and Summer 2024 Singles competitions.

In the first semi-final, Kev Parsons played against previous singles winner Sam Ellis (Winter 2023/24), winning 3-0 to reach the final. In the second semi-final, David Moule defeated Andy Jurd, last season’s Most Legs Winner, also by a score of 3-0.

The final featured the current Blind Pairs winners. Kev Parsons took the first leg in 18 darts, with David on 20. David won the next three legs, before Kev levelled the match at three legs each, winning the sixth leg in 17 darts. In the deciding leg, David won in 13 darts, checking out from 24 with one dart after scoring 159, while Kev remained on 237. David averaged 27.02 per dart (81.06), and Kev averaged 23.69 (71.08).

Thank you to all participating players and to the Wolversdene club for hosting and sponsoring the event. An enjoyable evening was concluded with the Lionesses scoring an injury time goal, progressing to extra time, and subsequently securing victory in the 119th minute. They will play Spain in the Final on Sunday.
