Grand Central retained 4th spot with a 17-9 win over Wolves A. However, 3rd placed Peaky Blinders extended their lead over Grand Central to 14 points with a win over Pewsey Boys 20-6. The fight for 3rd is also proving interesting, Grand Central have a game in hand over Peaky Blinders and play Pewsey Boys on 13th September, with the following week being a head-to-head with Peaky Blinders to see who finishes 3rd.
In the battle for most tons, Kev Parsons hit 11 with week, moving him level with Andy Mitchell in 4th place. None of the top 3 played this week so positions were unaffected. Steve Turner and Jamie Kelling both hit 10. With no match for Chas Barstow, Luke hit 2 maximums placing him top of the 180’s table. Jamie Kelling also consolidated 3rd place hitting 3 this week. There were no changes to the top of the checkout table, although Jamie Kelling took out 140 moving him into 5th. There was also a 107 from Steve Jordan, it was unusual for him to use all 3 darts.
Likewise, in the most legs won competition, the top 3 players weren’t in action this week, so Luke Getty (5) and Jamie Kelling (4) closed the gap. Luke leapfrogs Mark Thorne into 3rd. Chas Barstow remains 2 points clear of Steve Ballard.
