Turnell & Hayes win winter blind pairs

Three weeks in and the first of our competitions took place this week, and what a turn out. 31 players arrived to battle it out, unknowing to them who they would be paired with. After 55 legs of darts, of 601, Alan Turnell and Rob Hayes secured this seasons title.

In the first semi-final Wayne Morgan and Stuart Giddings beat Rob Doran and Steve Jordan 3-1. In the second semi, Alan Turnell and Rob Hayes, beat Andy Jurd and Andy Harvey by the same score. The final went down to the wire with both pairs missing darts at the double to win the game, but it was last years winner (Winter 2022) Alan Turnell and his new partner Rob Hayes that were victorious, beating Wayne Morgan and Stuart Giddings 3-2. Co-incidentally, Wayne Morgan was the losing finalist in the Winter 2022 competition.

Thank you to the Wolversdene Club for hosting the event.
