Parsons & Moule – Blind Pairs winners

We kicked off the competition season with the Blind Pairs. 24 players took to the oche and it was last season’s Winter Pairs winner Kev Parsons, drawn with last season’s Winter Singles winner, Dave Moule, who took the spoils.

In the first of our semi-finals, Mike Berntsen and Steve Shaw took no time in dispatching Greg Peel and Andy Harvey 3-0.  In the second Semi, Rob Doran and Antony Waters were beaten 3-1 by Kev Parsons and Dave Moule.

The final was very much a one-sided affair. A dominant performance saw Kev and Dave win comfortably 4-0 against Mike and Steve. Kev and Dave got off to a great start in each leg, hitting 140, 127, 140 and 140 with their first 3 darts. However, it was the last leg that was the best of them all, with Kev and Dave winning with a 11 darter, scoring 140, 140, 140 and 81 in 2 darts.

To give you some interesting stats, in the final, Kev and Dave’s first 9 darts averaged 109.25, that’s 36.42 per dart. They had 9 ton plus scores over the 4 legs. They finished with an overall average of 82.36, 27.45 per dart.

It was another enjoyable evening. Thank you to the Wolversdene Club for hosting the event.
